MatB1 and Paternity

So I’ve had my baby, and obviously handed in my MatB1 to MY employer months ago.

DFs work are now requesting to see my MatB1 as part of his paternity - he requested months ago and took it in the middle of March.

Does his employer need a copy of my MatB1? Feels like a data protection issue - them having my personal details! Anyway, if they do, how do I get a 2nd one? My employer has sent it off somewhere!

I can’t seem to find anything conclusive online to say either way!

Proof of pregnancy/birth is not required. Nor is a copy of your MATb1.

Sorry the above is from gov.uk site.

Yes, it's very normal for your partner's company to need to see it. It's the proof HR need to process paternity pay. A copy has always been fine for my husband's work.
No idea about getting another though.
