Breasts reacting when I think/read about breastfeeding

Has anyone else had this??

I'm 21 weeks, and was just reading a parenting book that mentioned the "crawl" that a newborn does to reach the breast. As I was reading about it, my boobs went all hard and the nipples went like rocks! This has happened before when I've thought about breastfeeding. So strange, but clearly some sort of biological reaction.

This hasn't happened to me but kind of reminded me of when I had my first born. If I went in the shower and left him in another room I'd be convinced I could hear him crying but when I came out the shower the person watching him assured me he had not been crying at all. Weird how your mind/body plays tricks on you when it comes to your baby!

Just coming on to say mine still do this and its been years since I breastfed.

It’s a natural response. Your brain is communicating directly with your body without your mind being aware of it. Like your mouth watering when you smell food Grin

Yep, it's a biological response. Once your milk comes in, every time that happens you'll leak everywhere! Sounds like you may need to invest in some breast pads :o

My nephew is 9 years old now ( bottlefed) and every time my sister meets a newborn baby her breasts still leak!! Weird and wonderful(?) things happen to a woman’s body! 😂😂

When I used to do some expressing for DD, I had to look at a photo of her on my phone to get the flow going. Really weird feeling!

I'm also 21 weeks and I'm going to do this and see if I notice any change in my boobs now!
