6 weeks pregnant and bleeding

Hi,
I hope some can give me a little advice or relate in anyway.
I'm 6 weeks pregnant and last night I had 2 large blood spots in my underwear before going to bed. The blood was dark like black cherry and thin (no clots). I previously have had a miscarriage before this pregnancy and so I cried, put on a large pad and went to bed expecting to fully miscarriage throughout the night. I have woken this morning with no blood and my usual morning sickness. When I wipe after urinating there is watery brown residue. Is this just a prolonged miscarriage or has this ever happen to anyone who has gone on to have a healthy pregnancy.
Thank you

I bled throughout my pregnancy. Started at 5 weeks ....this was due to a subchorionic haematoma.
Can you phone your local EPU for advice?

Going to report to mumsnet to ask them to move this for you, you would be better off in one of the pregnancy boards.

We're just moving this thread over to pregnancy for the OP. Flowers

@mssxx Sorry you're going through this!
I have had 3 miscarriages start with a small amount of spotting over several days before I was bleeding a huge amount. I'm now 20 weeks pregnant and I had a small amount of spotting between weeks 6-10 but was just when I wiped and it was always brown. I was being seen by EPU and a heartbeat was seen at 6 weeks. My placenta is low, so I'm wondering if the spotting was caused by the internal scans.

Some women here will probably tell you they bled a fair amount and still went on to have healthy pregnancies. I know in these times it's probably difficult to get an EPU referral, but I know some trusts you can self refer or approach your GP and see if they're able to make the referral.

I hope everything works out for you.

Hey! I’m also 6 weeks pregnant and I’ve been bleeding for 3 days. Visited A&E yesterday as I was told to by 111 but they sent me home after urine dip said pregnant and bloods. She said I’ve got to wait til Monday to have an early scan, on Monday I should be 7 weeks so I am in a similar situation, however my bleeding is quite heavy so I’m not expecting good news.
I think you’ll be ok with such little blood, I’ve read loads of positive outcomes on here with that sort of story! Xx

Hi @mssxx I am having a similar situation, had a gush of blood yesterday and still slightly bleeding now. I had to go to a&e yesterday as my midwife referred me there when I called them. They ran urine tests, blood tests, did an internal exam and 2 scans one internal and one external. They advised baby is fine, my cervix is closed but couldn't advise why I have bleeding, they've said to rest and take it easy. My advice is call 111 or your midwife and speak to them. They may say to observe it and see how it goes or possibly refer you to a&e. It was 100% worth the hours I spent there as it have me alot of reassurance that baby is okay.
