Bleeding after TV ultrasound

First time I am using this forum. I am 7 weeks + 2 days pregnant (calculated from my LMP) and went for a private early scan today because I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks in Nov 2019.

The sonographer could see the yolk sac but she concluded I am 6 weeks preg by measurements and asked me to come back after 2 weeks.

As I got home and used the loo after 2 hours, my pants were soaking wet with the mucus (sorry, for TMI) and when I wiped I saw the blood on the tissue. I lost all hope there but went to bed after that to cope with my grief. When I woke up after 2 hours, I felt a little gush of blood come out and my pad did have more blood on it, I also saw a few clots when I wiped, but there has been no fresh blood after that.

I tried calling the hospital, but they asked me to call 111 which had 45 mins of waiting and then I hung up. It's weekend so no surgeries open.

I am just trying to clutch on to the last hopes here if anyone else had bleeding after a transvaginal scan and went on to have a healthy pregnancy? Or actually, if you think I have miscarried, let me know.

The same thing happened to me at the Whittington. I had had 3 mc at that point and had had a negative test after positive. I was so worried and upset thinking what could be inside. Eventually I did get a scan and it confirmed the mc but everything had passed naturally.

I am so sorry OP if this is what has happened. We did have our baby in the end with the help of St Mary's in Paddington. I hope you get yours too. Thanks

If the test is now negative that sadly confirms a miscarriage. If there were retained products etc. your body would still have a small level of HCG and a test would should as positive which is why they are saying they don’t need to scan you. Sorry for your loss x

@Indella - I have to disagree, I've gotten a negative test and still had to be treated for retained products. Pregnancy tests vary in sensitivity and the digital ones are known to be less sensitive. A scan is important for confirmation and making sure you get the right treatment.

Hello everyone, I did another preg test today with FMU and it said positive 1-2 weeks which got me so confused.

But anyway the scan later confirmed I had miscarried and everything had passed naturally. Well, back to the calendar then.

Thank you everyone for your messages. I am sad (especially that this is my 2nd miscarriage in a row) but I am hopeful too. Next time. :)
