Hi all. I found out I was pregnant back at the beginning of March. I’m 10 weeks now and my symptoms have vanished! I’ve felt okay since around 8 weeks!? Has this happened to anyone else? Worrying something is wrong, my scan isn’t for another 2 weeks. Thanks!

Thank you for your reply! Lol you’re okay it’s good to know I’m not the only one worrying, this is my 3rd pregnancy and with my two previous I always felt sick etc, had every symptom going. I did have a few weeks of sickness around week 5-7 but then it just faded to nothing basically! It’s such a hard 12 weeks. Wishing you the best of luck for your scan xx

I didn't have symptoms when I was pregnant with my first baby. I asked the doctor and she said don't worry.. they will come. But I had a completely uneventful first trimester. And generally a very good pregnancy.
Baby is here and all is well :)

@Megan109882 I had sore boobs, and a bit of nausea between 5-6 weeks. Then absolutely nothing, apart from a bit of tiredness. Midwife told me not too worry, and that sometimes people don’t have symptoms. But being high risk and having had recurrent mmc, the lack of symptoms made me anxious. I’m 13 weeks now, I’ve had 5 scans (due to being high risk) and everything has been fine (so far). Good luck!

eventhecathasapenis · 18/04/2020 14:32

Not to try and cause any worry but if you are even the slightest bit concerned then please please please call the midwives. They can arrange for a quick scan to put your mind at rest. That is what they are there for - I've done it myself and no one treated me like a time waster. Stress is not good for you or baby.

Amanduh · 18/04/2020 15:02

I haven’t had a single symptom in the first 18 weeks either of my pregnancies. No sickness or sore boobs!

Megan109882 · 18/04/2020 15:26

Thank you all for your replies! Unfortunately my first scan is my booking appointment so until then we can’t see a midwife unless we go through a&e or else referred by your doctor for pain/bleeding etc.. which thankfully I haven’t had! It’s just a nail biting 2 weeks until the scan! Xx

I have heard that supposedly the placenta takes over round about now and this can be the reason for no symptoms.. so hopefully it’s just that!xx

I have the exact same thing!! I am 11 weeks pregnant and my symptoms went 3 weeks ago... I read a lot online and it can be quite common...haha the only time in your life when you want to feel ill!!
I got my scan letter through today so really hope everything is OK.

eventhecathasapenis · 18/04/2020 15:32

You can still have a scan before booking, that's what EPUs are for. If you need them then don't be afraid to call. EPUs are specialist A&Es for early pregnancy. You seem content and that's what matters - no stress is good - but I don't want you to think there's no options for you if you need help.

Megan109882 · 18/04/2020 15:43

@N12345625 haha! Exactly, we moan when we get the symptoms then moan when they go! Suppose it’s just a reassurance that you’re actually pregnant lol! Such a grim wait. Best of luck for your scan xo

Hi @Megan109882, at 10 weeks my symptoms completely disappeared. I think I even posted on here desperate for reassurance. Needless to say they returned about 10 weeks later. I think it is something to do with the placenta taking over. Im 32 weeks now and all going well :)

CoffeeIsMyOnlyJoy · 21/04/2020 12:33

I think HCG has peaked and is reducing at 10 weeks, so it's normal for some symptoms to reduce. This is when the placenta is starting to take over from the yolk sack. How quickly they go depends on how sensitive you are to HCG. Smile

anniebu · 21/04/2020 12:35

I'm eight weeks, and all of my symptoms (mild to begin with) have disappeared as well. Surely it is too early for the placenta to take over. And while I know many women are like this, it is difficult to accept not feeling pregnant at all.

goldie04 · 21/04/2020 12:44

I have 2 DC and didn't have any symptoms in the first trimester with either of them. Just tiredness. Second and third trimester I had spd but that's it. Please don't worry Smile

Megan109882 · 21/04/2020 12:55

Thank you all for your replies! It definitely helps reassure.

@Needschoolhelp congrats on your scan! I’ve felt a bit sicker the last few days but nothing extreme, but a gentle reminder that I’m pregnant lol! Two weeks today until my scan so I’ll know more then. Best of luck to you xx

@anniebu my symptoms started to go around 8 weeks really.. and from then gradually got less and less. Until nothing.. like I said only the last 2 days or so I’ve actually felt a bit nauseous. But nothing extreme. Fingers crossed for you xx
