Hi all,

Has anyone noticed Melasma or darker patches of skin (like age spots/hyperpigmentation) on their breasts in pregnancy? I noticed some on my right breast under the nipple a week ago and have kept an eye and it hasn’t changed. I have a GP appointment next week just to check it’s nothing to worry about but wondered if anyone else experienced similar? Up close photo of the skin attached to show what I mean. I don’t have this anywhere else on my body!

My face is covered. It's due to hormones. Theres not alot you can do but it will fade after birth. It lingers if you breastfeed if I remember correctly. Mines worse this time round. It's quite common in pregnancy

Thanks @em90792 wasn’t sure if it was normal to only get it on your breasts? I’ve heard of it on face etc but not breasts :/

I think I read an article somewhere that it can also appear on breasts, definatley get it checked though if your worried... I think it can also appear on the tummy too.
