Has anyone had a scan at LGI (Leeds) since lockdown?

I have my 12 week scan on Friday and was just wondering what had changed since lockdown.
I know that I'm not able to take dh which is making me a bit worried. Just on case there is anything wrong.
I was hoping that knowing what to expect might help a bit.

I also wondered what parking was like at the moment. I know that it's usually awful at Clarendon wing so would usually use the bus rather than have trouble parking but don't think that would be the best idea at the moment.

Any info would be great

Not at LGI but the same trust - can’t help on the parking I’m afraid, I ubered to reduce some of my stress!

So you will go up to the ward, they’ll confirm your details and ask you to wait in the reception / lobby bit. Expect it to be pretty empty as they seem to be staggering the appointments a lot.

Sonographer will come and get you and complete the scan. When I was there they refused to let me FaceTime or call my husband in, just an FYI. They’ll take measurements and then clean you up, and you wait while they return your file and photographs!

Then you go round to the bloods (it’s the same ward but I think at LGI it’s a separate place.) Have your bloods taken, they’ll tell you to expect a letter with your results and you book your 20 week scan in.

That’s pretty much it! Hope it goes well!

Thank you so much @coffeeorwine that does help a lot.
I know it's silly but I am so nervous about it this time. Knowing what is coming definitely. helps.

No experience there but my hospital is horrendous for parking too, but as all non emergency / urgent apps are done on the phone and visitors are cancelled now it's not an issue.

I did about 10 days ago - husband took me and waited outside, the car park was quiet and no parking charges and I don’t imagine it’s changed.

Mine was a growth scan in the maternity unit which isn’t where I went for my 12 week scan but it was pretty calm - people sat quite far apart and sonographer in mask/gown etc which was a bit offputting but never mind. Was supposed to have a consultant appt afterwards which was done by phone.

Best of luck - it’s not ideal but they are definitely trying to look after you as best they can.

I was much more nervous this time so I get it, keeping everything crossed for you, it’s a lot to get your head around being pregnant in this bonkers time x

Thank you again everyone. It really does make a difference. The things that you fixate on are ridiculous. I was stupidly worried about not getting parked and missing my appointment.
Thank you again Smile
