@BabyB19 I was going to say after my scan tomorrow if all is well can you tell me a
List of your must buys aswell. i haven’t really looked yet with fear of something not being right. Yes my sickness still going strong I woke up at 4 this morning with strong sickness and yesterday I projectile vomited after eating an apple, but I still doubt myself 😅.

BabyB19 · 23/06/2020 09:52

I'd say they are pretty sure signs @Jonesbabynumber1 🤣🤣 just obviously the anxiety doesn't go until you see for yourself. Ask at your scan tomorrow where your placenta is Cos I don't think they told me at the 12 week one and I never asked, then I panicked when it was so late feeling anything where as if I'd known early it was at the front I would have known to expect it later. I will do a list for you no problem 🥰 x will you be finding out what you're having? X

@BabyB19 I know my husbands acting all chilled but I think really he’s worried as well he keeps waking in middle of night. That’s really good advice I will do. I’m going to ring today double check he can’t attend I’d feel so much better if he could come in. That be amazing. No we don’t plan on finding out. I think not knowing is exciting plus all the guessing

BabyB19 · 23/06/2020 11:57

It's horrible that they can't come in but honestly once you're in that room and see it's all ok it doesn't matter who is with you, and when I came out and told OH everything was good he honestly didn't care that he hadn't seen as long as he knew it was all ok he said that's all that mattered to him too. It's a year tomorrow since my MMC so I've struggled a bit this week I keep dreaming that I'm bleeding it's awful, can't wait for it to be over with tomorrow so the anxiety passes again @Jonesbabynumber1 x

And I think it's so much more exciting that we haven't found out too 🥰

Awww amazing news! @Jonesbabynumber1 so glad it's all looking as it should! All that sickness and feeling ill has been worth it!
@ceebee21 honestly I wish I could live in the freezer, I've got my fan on full blast and I'm living on ice lollies and slushes 😭🤣

OP posts:
Jonesbabynumber1 · 24/06/2020 11:48

@BabyB19 thank you. Yes such a relief, I asked about placenta we said looks like it’s growing at back but midwife said don’t expect to feel any moments until 28 weeks which I was surprised at as it’s my first apparently. I bet you do I have the fan on a lot as I find it helps sickness. If the sickness could just go now I may actually get to that glowing stage if it actually does exist 😂 lol

BabyB19 · 24/06/2020 11:56

28 weeks? That's ridiculous people feel it way before that! I was about 19-21 before I started to get them regular and know for sure it was baby, by about 24 it was full on kicks all day! So with yours at the back yours should be way before 28 weeks. Maybe they say that so you don't worry? Or maybe she meant 18! How was your OH with not going in with you? The difference between the 8-12 week scans is amazing isn't it! @Jonesbabynumber1

OP posts:
Jonesbabynumber1 · 24/06/2020 14:24

@BabyB19 I thought that she definitely meant 28 as she said it a few times. But your probably right she probably just saying it so I don’t worry. To be fair it was very in an out like a conveyor belt. She said they don’t even contact you about downs test if it’s normal. I’m hoping my iron shows as low as I have barley any energy which probably isn’t helped by the fact I can’t eat a lot. Yes the change in scan is amazing my husband was fine he said was longest hour of his life but showing him photo he really looked excited as it looks like a baby now x

BabyB19 · 24/06/2020 14:37

That's terrible that they don't even call you about the results!! We are Defo missing out on so much antenatal care. I can't believe I'm due my first baby in 8 weeks with a history of MC and I've seen a midwife twice! It would be so easy to become really overwhelmed and affected mentally by this wouldn't it. Glad he's ok, at my 20 week they couldn't se the babies heart due to being breach so I was there for two hours, my OH was a nervous wreck by the time I got out and called him as I'd had no signal so he thought it was another MMC. Unfair that they're put through that just because they're not the ones carrying! Have you told everyone now? 🤞🏼 on the iron hopefully that would make you feel better! X

@BabyB19 yes I Wasn’t impressed and half the staff weren’t wearing masks and we had to how can I ask questions in a mask! We are lucky we’ve got strong supportive partners by our sides but imagine the people who haven’t and aren’t getting that care. Not one person asked how I was feeling just congratulations. I was disappointed! I look at my notes and they’ve written a load of rubbish about what they’ve discussed with me and they haven’t so basically lying. I’m just going to try and self educate. I know it’s much their journey as it is ours. My husbands very much of the opinion if I’m happy he’s happy. No we waiting to tell his parents this evening and a few family member then we will share the news. I told work friends they couldn’t believe how they didn’t know I said it’s down to corona as if we had been out in a pub and I said I wasn’t drinking they would have known 🙈

MrsCl19 · 24/06/2020 15:09

Yay! @Jonesbabynumber1 congratulations lovely clear scan pic!

BabyB19 · 24/06/2020 15:11

They did that to me too @Jonesbabynumber1 they said twice on my notes that I was yet to decide if I wanted the tests done at my 12 week scan, I told them adamantly that I didn't want them as I would never consider a termination so it was pointless having them done just to stress myself over when I was already anxious. They were so pushy and kept writing that I hadn't made my mind up yet I was furious! We are lucky to have our partners I really feel for other people who are alone, young people especially, at 32 I've been around enough babies to have some idea of what to do but some people are literally clueless aren't they! I have had an overwhelming feeling that I will go early all along and the last couple of days I've been leaking colostrum! I don't know anyone that had it this early before so it's scaring me incase it happens soon! X

@MrsCl19 thank you. @BabyB19 it’s terrible isn’t it doing the job I do I really try and talk people through everything making sure they understand as much as possible. They don’t realise you may be low risk so nothing to worry about but why not explain what that means. They think a leaflet is the answer to everything! I just hope it’s not like that at birth. Sorry to hear you’ve got that going on. Have you rung to speak to anyone for reassurance? My sister had my nephew a few weeks early he was tiny but all fine and wasn’t in special care for long. Send big hugs ❤️❤️

ceebee21 · 25/06/2020 10:10

@Jonesbabynumber1 lovely scan pic - so pleased for you.

That seems rubbish about the results etc. I was actually told my results there and then, a lot of other people on here have had letters 2 weeks after confirming results are fine, so I guess it just depends on the trust!

She took the measurement, entered it into their system and gave me the odds straight away, and they were then printed on my result!

xx

BabyB19 · 25/06/2020 10:45

Omg girls think yourselves lucky you're not too far along in this heat, I no longer have an ankle to my name. I can't even work as if they aren't elevated for more than half an hour my ankles disappear and my toes feel like they will pop off 😭🤦🏽‍♀️ @ceebee21 @Jonesbabynumber1 @MrsCl19

@BabyB19 they look really uncomfortable.... I don't want to give you any worries but have you told midwife about them?

Jonesbabynumber1 · 25/06/2020 12:11

@ceebee21 thank you, there is a NT size on there and I googled it as it says normal so hope that’s it. @BabyB19 ouch yes I’m glad I’ll be big in winter lost of big jumpers. Maybe good advice just to speak to midwife. We did our announcement today.

Aww that's so cute @Jonesbabynumber1 hopefully the next couple of weeks will see the sickness subside and you can really enjoy it. I haven't yet @MrsCl19 as I'm due to see her on Monday anyway so was going to ask then, they do seem to go down if I keep them elevated but then as soon as I put them back down again they balloon x

@BabyB19 Thanks it looks simple but took about an hour and about a 1000 photos. Trouble with being a perfectionist. it already seems better not sure if it’s less anxiety or that I’ve stopped folic acid but it’s nice. Hopefully it keeps on getting better. You know what’s right for your body they say to listen to it. Hopefully you’ll feel better when it gets cooler over the weekend. I love sun but hate the hot Nights so can only think how you feel.
