Hi girl, it's so hard getting to my phone now. Can't believe my girl is a week old today. Feeding is going much better now, if anyone has a difficult feeder or tiny baby I can not recommend the Nuk bottles enough. So I was taken in to be induced Tuesday, lost my plug off the pessary but labour didn't start, they broke my waters on Thursday and put the drip in (I was doing amazing with just paracetamol but then the PGP kicked in and I couldn't handle it, my advice to anyone would be if you get induced and have the drip just get the epidural from the get go, that is my biggest regret. Once in established labour it was 13 hours start to finish, she was born vaginally but with forceps as the cord was around her neck, it all sounds a bit traumatic and there's a lot I've missed out but it really wasn't a bad experience. Once she was born and on my chest they realised the placenta was stuck and breaking down so I was taken to theatre to have it removed. I've come out of it quite poorly with anaemia very weak and very faint but getting better each day. I had a second degree tear which was stitched twice due to the surgery and they haven't been a bother. In all I feel pretty crappy but I'm getting there and it's still been the best week of my life xxx

I tried to breastfeed but she is a 'reluctant feeder' and whenever I put her to the breast she was instantly soothed being near me (which I can't say I hated) to the point she curled up around my boob and went straight to sleep. We'd both had a bit of a rough start so we tried to go back to it a couple of times but I'm about ready to throw the towel in and admit defeat tbh x

@BabyB19 so much happened in so little time haha

Glad she is here safely though.... I have heard the drip can be horrendous contractions wise - it is hard to know what to expect though as everyone is different, so most want to try without major pain relief first.

Re: feeding, just got to do what is best for the both of you!

My intention is to bottle feed anyway tbh....x

@BabyB19 so good to hear from you and I’m not surprised after all that your still staying strong. So proud of the way you’ve handled things. Yes I don’t know many people who get induced and have an easy time as the body’s not ready for labour, but your glad to hear that your both doing well. Yes don’t put to much pressure on yourself I am very open to the idea if breastfeeding doesn’t work bottles will be more than fine. Just take day as it comes. Can’t wait to for more updates. Hope you feel better soon. It’s a miracle what the female body can go through.

Jonesbabynumber1 · 21/08/2020 12:57

One of girls asking About you on the old post @BabyB19 I let her know you’ve had the baby

BabyB19 · 21/08/2020 14:49

Jonesbabynumber1 · 21/08/2020 16:18

@Tbug I know so quick, its weird had all scans now so feels like I’m just waiting for due date now 🙈. I’m so glad I’m due in winter with Halloween bonfire night and Christmas to look forward to. How are you?

Tbug · 21/08/2020 16:21

MrsCl19 · 21/08/2020 16:45

@BabyB19 so glad your doing better! Your experience of the birth and after sound very similar to my first, so sending lots of love 🥰

@Tbug lovely to hear from you! Hope your doing ok! I'm 30 + 2 now

Jonesbabynumber1 · 21/08/2020 19:36

@Tbug ahh it must be hard but it will happen for you and I can’t wait to hear all about it. I’m due 6th Jan. Now I’ve passed 20 weeks I’ve started to buy the things we need which is exciting I love online shopping and hunting for a bargain, but wow baby stuff if expensive 🙈

MrsCl19 · 26/08/2020 05:46

Morning ladies how if everyone?

I'm 31 weeks today and have my midwife app, expecting to be booked in for GD Test. Also have my 4D rescan tomorrow which I'm super excited for!
At the point now where I don't know how I'm gunna go another 9 weeks feel so swollen and achy!

ceebee21 · 26/08/2020 10:50

Hello,

Yes all good here - 22 + 4 today... not got anything until my midwife appt at 25 weeks, but do have extra scans at 28, 32 and 36 weeks,.

I'm feeling good at the moment, starting to try and look at things to buy like the pram and furniture etc, but it still all seems like ages away!

x

MrsCl19 · 26/08/2020 16:42

@ceebee21 the early 20s do feel like that but after 24 weeks it fliessssss

BabyB19 · 27/08/2020 18:18

Hi girls, just checking in to let you know I'm still here and watching and wishing you all well along the way, I just don't have a minute to send messages now!
Blake is doing good but by god night feeds are a killer! 😭🤣 our little doll got weighed yesterday and is 5.10 now, so she is filling out nice and quick so the endless feeds are doing their job. Hope you're all doing well xx

MrsCl19 · 28/08/2020 19:09

@BabyB19 glad the feeds are doing their job! Hope your feeling ok? Can't believe how quick your pregnancy went and she's now here!

I had a 4d rescan yesterday and we got no more good pictures and the little sod is still transverse 😩 midwife told me Wednesday he was head down and I questioned it because movements have all been the same... not dreading my next appointment and at 34 weeks but if I still think he is I'm gunna be more pushy for a presentation scan

BabyB19 · 28/08/2020 19:54

Aww gutted for you about the 4D scan but not long until you will see him for real. Definitely push for another scan you don't want any surprises when you go into labour do you! @MrsCl19 how are you doing otherwise? Xx

MrsCl19 · 28/08/2020 20:03

I'm absolutely ready to be 40 weeks🤣 but not long to go! @BabyB19 got everything ready now! Started stocking up on formula ready got nappies and hospital are good to go! Very exciting

BabyB19 · 30/08/2020 17:54

Aww so exciting @MrsCl19 our little girl is packing weight on and feeding round the clock now. It's hard graft but I can't believe how much I love her it's incredible.
How are you girls doing @ceebee21 @Jonesbabynumber1 xx

OP posts:
MrsCl19 · 31/08/2020 08:22

@BabyB19 do you just look at her and cry? I use to allll the time, I still do now but more because she's in terrible twos 🤣🤣🤣

BabyB19 · 31/08/2020 08:48

@MrsCl19 sometimes I want to cry at 3am when she refuses to go back down after her feed 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣 no I do she is just perfect I can't believe we made her and now we get to keep her 😭 xx

@BabyB19 that photo makes me so ready to meet my little one 😭😭 yes I’m ok 22 weeks but feels like time has stopped. It went so quickly up until 20 weeks, movements are amazing but gosh they worry you when they are quieter.

BabyB19 · 31/08/2020 11:47

Isn't she just perfect! @Jonesbabynumber1
The second trimester flew for me once I started feeling things properly. You will soon learn your patterns. If I was every doubtful about movements I would drink some cold pop, recline back quite a bit but not so I was flat on my back, and failing that and nice toasty bath xx
