How do I know if my waters are leaking ?

Am 39+3 weeks pregnant with 2nd baby and I have noticed some watery fluid coming out i thought it could be wee at first but dot feel like I need toilet could this be wee still ? Or my waters slowly trickling ? Or watery discharge ? Am so confused right now I have no pains and baby is moving etc xx

I was coming on to say it feels like you’ve wet yourself! It should be clear and smell quite sweet if it’s amniotic fluid... give your midwife a ring anyway, OP. Sounds like your waters are starting to trickle, good luck!

@babyinthacorner thank you I might put a pad on and see what happens in next hr or 2 as don't have direct access to midwife I have to call triage who will tell me to go in but only want to attend hospital if absolutely necessary due to the covid19 thank you for your reply I will definitely check its clear and smell xx

@KHall84 if you do go in, bring the pad with you. Sounds gross but the midwife will take a look at it. I had this with my first and they were so matter of fact about it even though I was mortified.
