Hello,

I really don't know where to post this. I had a miscarriage on the 19th march at 6 weeks pregnant. I was so happy after finding out I was pregnant & devastated when I lost it. The hcg left my system very quickly. The day after the miscarriage I attended a&e with pains & their urine dip test showed negative. I did another early test at home the following week & it was also negative.

My husband and I decided to put off ttc for a few months given the situation with coronavirus. We had unprotected si once since & used protection the rest of the time. However I started to develop similar symptoms to my last 2 pregnancies over the last 2 weeks so decided to test tonight, more so to rule it out as I wanted to have a few glasses of wine!! I did a tesco own brand, a freedom brand cheapie & a clear blue weeks indicator. They all came back positive, the cb says I'm 1-2 weeks pregnant. Given that the tests I took after my miscarriage were all negative I assume I can rule out leftover hcg?

I'm so stressed about it, I'm terrified of another miscarriage so soon after the last one. I haven't even had a period yet & to be honest I thought the chances of me falling pregnant after one time was ridiculously low as we had been trying for 5 months previously & we were dtd so regularly, I was tracking ovulation & everything.

Have any of you been through similar? Sorry for the ramble, I'm just so confused.

Congratulations, you are extremely fertile after giving birth, I’m assuming that following a miscarriage it is the same.
I’m sorry you are so worried, it’s such a difficult time. I hope all goes well.

Thank you. I'm just in a bit of shock to be honest. I really hope all goes well too.

Congratulations :) sounds like this was meant to be. I hope it goes well for you x

@Lori86 completely understandable to be anxious. I had a similar miscarriage in November and am now pregnant again (9 weeks) and the anxiety hasn’t worn off. It’s very rare to have two miscarriages in a row so your chances are good. Be kind to yourself xx

@emerald89 that's a lovely way of looking at it. Maybe it was meant to be, it's just scary it's so soon after my miscarriage. I'm not even sure how they're going to date this pregnancy.

@BuffaloCauliflower congratulations & I'm sorry you've had a loss too. Fingers crossed for us both 🤞.

Sounds like a new pregnancy! Congratulations!!
I got pregnant after my 2nd miscarriage before I had a period...gave birth last November!!

Lori86 · 15/04/2020 21:39

@newmummy8789 oh that's good to hear a positive outcome. How did they date your pregnancy?
Does it sound stupid that I feel like a bold child going to my doctor to tell her that I'm pregnant again? I feel like she's going to give out to me 😂.

They worked it out from the day of conception. Nobody batted an eyelid that I'd got pregnant again so soon, I think it happens more often than you'd think, when I went for my 12 week scan they said I was the second lady that day that was in the same situation!

Lori86 · 15/04/2020 21:50

@newmummy8789 wow I'm surprised it's so common. That's so good to hear though.
