Pain in middle of ribs

Does anyone else experience a weird pain in the middle of their ribs? It started on the right side it gets worse when I lay down. More of a dull pain. I've now found the skin in that area is now dumb. I experience it at night and have to get up and stretch it out. It's now shifted the both left and right. I asked midwife but she just said it's baby but I'm not feeling kicks up there

I had that pain in my right side through both of my pregnancies. It was really uncomfortable and painful and only really disappeared if I lay stretched out on the bed with a pillow under my back. I have no idea what it is or what causes it. It was definitely not kicks as my second only turned at 37weeks and I had it well before then.

Could it be heartburn?

Yeah it's such an uncomfortable feeling. Maybe it's everything shifting up inside. I just wish it would go instead of waking me up in the night and having to stretch it out to ease it. Reassuring to know I'm not to only one to feel it. Numb skin sensation though is an odd one.

It's not heartburn it's more on the outline of the rib cage. You can kind of massage it out.

I'm getting lots of rib aches at the moment, particularly on my left side. I spoke to my midwife but she thinks it's my ribs currently expanding. Hope your pain goes soon.

Pain on the right side, particularly when lying down, could be a few things very commonly it's gallbladder pain

I’ve had this since 20 weeks. It’s often your rib cage expanding. I’ve gone from a 32 back to a 36 in bras and I guess for some of us the growing and stretching is just more painful. I’ve been doing some yoga stretching every day which has helped!

I had this in my last pregnancy to the point I had to stop working quite early on. Never felt a pain like it, constantly had pins and needles in that area when I lay down after 30 weeks. Currently 19+3 with my second and still have the numb feeling since my last baby was born. Praying it just stays that way. Doctor assumes it’s nerve damage.

I have this too. Drives me mad! So uncomfortable. Lieing flat on my side for a bit helps.
