Washing baby clothes for first time?

Morning everyone ☺️

Do baby clothes need washing before you first use them?

I was going to do it but I asked my mum and she said she never did with me and my sister (although this was 30 years ago!)

Did you wash your baby clothes before the baby arrived?

Thanks 😊

Sure, they're covered in all kinds of crap from being in the warehouse and through various hands.

In the midst of this outbreak, why would you take the chance?

My favourite thing is washing a load of new baby clothes and hanging them on the line Daffodil

Definitely, they're covered in all sorts of chemicals in manufacturing to make the fabric easier to handle. Wash all that off before it goes on delicate skin!
That's even before accounting for the current pandemic...

Which detergent would everyone recommend?

I've washed everything in fairy. We both have sensitive skin anyway so it's our normal washing detergent.

I’ve always used the non bio fairy
