how 'long' does baby move for?

Think I might have been feeling my baby move (am 19 weeks) but just wondering how 'long' they move about for, or is it just a one off movement?

E.g. do they move about semi-continuously for say 20 mins, or do you just feel a one off movement?

When you first felt baby move were you sure it was baby, or were you unsure for a while? Did you have to concentrate to feel anything, or did it just happen?

First pregnancy, I wasnt sure at first, but the best way I can describe it is like feeling your eyelashes blink on the back of your hand, but inside your tummy. And gradually that got more frequent and for longer.

I thought it was like having lemonade in my veins. I only ever felt my baby’s movements for a few seconds at a time.

I started feeling baby move at 16 weeks, only really felt it when I was lying down in bed and concentrating. Was only a few movements at one time. First movements feel like muscle spasms only deep inside your tummy.

Now 26 weeks and she's kicking through the day, then has busy times where it's upto about 15-20 min long kicking sessions.

For me it was definitely a one off movement, then they just get stronger the further along you get.
To me my first movements felt like a twitch or one heart palpitation down very low. Wasn't sure that was what it was at first until it got stronger.

In the beginning it’s common to just feel one small kick then nothing for ages. When they get bigger they tend to have a flurry of movements sometimes for 5-10 minutes solid.
