Labour with no signs

Due date in 2 days time and not having any signs of labour

Has anyone gone into labour without having any warning signs? Where it was just a spontaneous onset of labour? What was your story?

All but one have been spontaneous. No plug no twinges no nothing. I had fast labours so dont know if that's anything to do with it.

DS contractions started 3am, lost some mucus plug in the days before and my waters went at some point but we don't know when because there was probably very little of it. Got to hospital 9cm dilated, unaware I was that far along.

DD I had a sweep 30 mins before contractions started. Phoned hospital up because i wasnt sure if contractions were strong enough but was at least 4cm dilated according to midwife, waters went 5 mins after getting to the hospital, baby born soon after that.

Considering I'd been through labour before you'd have thought I'd be aware of my own body but nope. It took me a while to realise I was in labour with DD. Whole thing from first contraction to birth was 4 hours 11 mins. Less than half the time of DS labour. If I ever put myself through the ordeal of pregnancy again I'm predicting the labour to be 1 hour 30 mins long from first contraction.

The mucus plug didn't really come out for DD either. Little bits here and there for months because with a 2nd pregnancy your cervix us always slightly open, but I don't ever remember having the plug out completely. Must have done at some point though as my waters broke...

My waters broke spontaneously. I lost my mucus plug after my waters broke ( or during ). I kinda expected labour soon but didn’t see it coming at that exact moment . I was 37 weeks . The week before/of I had diarrhoea, horrible lower back pain, extreme pressure on my vagina and lightening crouch.
