Low rising hcg?

First hcg test was 5963 and second test up to 7643 ( 5 days in apart) in
Possible 7th week of pregnancy ( from last bleed) always a long cycle and don't think I ovulated till day 22. So upset was all excited when I got 1st result now not so sure. Help

HCG doubling rates do start to go down the more pregnant you get. At your point a scan would be far more reliable. I had pretty low rising HCG and was so worried but now 31 weeks. Good luck, it’s really stressful but most daughters said HCG very unreliable further down the line, scans best.

Your numbers do appear to be very low. By 7 weeks your hcg should be in the 100,000s

A heartbeat is usually detected around the start of the 6th week and HCG needs to be nearly 10,000 at that point. Given that your numbers are much lower and you believe you are 7 weeks then it doesn't sound good at this point x

Don't panic just yet! My first pregnancy took two weeks after missed period to acheive positive test. Had a few pains so went for an early scan. They could see the sac but no baby, which shouldn't be the case as was thought to be around 6 weeks pregnant. Had blood tests every other day to find that HCG levels weren't doubling as they should, so was told I was likely to miscarry and it wasn't a viable pregnancy. I either messed my dates up, ovulated late or she just took a while to bed in, as she's now a stroppy 8 year old! Grin Keeping everything crossed for you.

Thanks. I'll just remain positive. Had a chemical pregnancy before after ivf and had a drop in hcg. Its going up so I'll see how scan goes. Thanks.for feedback x

hi guys. just to let you know I had my first scan this morn. Very nervous but all good. good strong heartbeat which I saw and heard. was so relieved. all good. doc said not to worry about hcg that its just one of those things. and with my cycle being long my dates can be worng but measuring about 7.5 weeks!I am delighted is an understatement - just keep fingers crossed and get passed the 12 week stage. thanks for all your messages x c
