Hi all, im currently 17+5 and have yet to feel any kind of movement from baby. This is my first and I've been told it can take a bit longer, but it's still making me incredibly anxious, especially as all my symptoms have dissappeared and i dont yet have a bump.

Any of you ladies had similar experiences?!
xx

3rd baby here and no movements till 22w.
It's normal!

KHall84 · 14/04/2020 08:06

you won't get a bump normally until later in pregnancy with your first

And as for movements everyone is different i didn't feel baby moving first time u til about 23 or 24 weeks which is normal as they are still so small at 17 weeks it also depends were your placenta is on how you feel movements xx

I felt my first movement at 18 exactly, and still I wasn’t sure if it was real movement. It’s so difficult to identify at the beginning, they are so subtle. Mine always happened after dinner while laying on the sofa quietly.
Don’t worry, I am sure it will be happening very soon, just find a quiet place after having a meal and relax.

21w for me. Try not to worry!

orangejuicer · 14/04/2020 08:17

Oh and try and keep anxiety in check - I wasnt able to enjoy my pregnancy as much as I could have because I was so anxious. I finally had to give my head a wobble, as per MN, and focus on being positive. Congratulations.

I am also FTM and didn’t have a bump.. Actually I felt that my bump at 17-18 weeks was smaller than ever. Then my bump suddently grew at 20 weeks, but still not showing too much (21 now), but now the baby is moving all the time so really not worried about the bump size anymore.

I'm 18 weeks, very anxious ftm too. I think I may have felt down movement but I'm not at all sure. I can't offer any reassurance but you're not alone alone feeling worried and impatient. Hopefully any day now we'll have little kicks to be excited about

mamaAJ · 14/04/2020 08:26

I didn't feel my first movement until around 22 weeks, same time I could see my belly move as he did it too Smile

mamaAJ · 14/04/2020 08:27

Also, to me it felt like little bubbles popping inside. I never got flutters or anything like that.

I’m pregnant with my second. My first I felt at 16 weeks with an anterior placenta, this one I didn’t feel until 21 weeks and the placenta is on the side. I had a bump first time but very small at 16-18 weeks. But a totally flat stomach this time until 20 weeks and then the bump just popped out, it’s not a big bump though.

Pineapplebaby · 14/04/2020 09:41

22 weeks for me before I felt anything.
The time between 12 and 20 weeks is the worst imo; all your symptoms usually disappear but you don’t get anything new yet, like a bump or movement. But everything will be fine; just try to relax and enjoy this time... make the most of it as before you know it, you won’t be able to sleep properly or do your shoes up! Grin it’s such a magical time! Lol

LASandOtto · 14/04/2020 09:57

I'm the same! 19 weeks today, FTM and don't think I've felt anything yet. It's very hard to tell. I feel like my stomach is making a lot of rumbling noises and I thought I could feel something yesterday but god knows. I do have a bit of a bump already but it's not easy when it's been 7 weeks since last having a scan and the next one will be on my own.
