Hi. I'm freaking out at the moment and would please love some honest advice. I had very light brown type discharge yesterday morning. It was sort of like it was dirty and that freaked me out.. then had no more until the same evening I had normal discharge but when wiped twice or thrice had discharge with a tinge of brown. So light that I hadn't noticed it if i wasn't looking too much. Then today morning at 4am I went to the bathroom and had a very light coloured discharge again. Anyone else experienced this. Is this a bad sign should I prepare myself :(. Honest answers pls.

Such a small amount is probably from implantation. I know it's hard but try not to worry.

If it gets heavier, turns red or you have any cramping then contact your EPU for advice.

@LatteLover12 hi thank you for commenting. Can implantation bleeding appear this late?

If its any help i had brown discharge and bleeding around ghis time with all my pregnancies. Try not to panic. The cervix sometimes has a tendency to bleed due to hormones but if you get fresh blood then defo worth a call to your midwife/docs xx

Honestly, I can barely see that! Try to relax, you’ll know if you pass something that’s worrying. Try to stop analysing the tissue every time you wipe and enjoy your pregnancy.

Thank you for comforting. I'm just so worried as I've had a mmc before .. I've booked for a pvt scan today.. hope everything is fine. Maybe it's in my mind but i feel like Im not smelling things as much as I was before I got to see this :(. So anxious

I understand your anxiety, I have it too and after an early miscarriage I am really struggling in this pregnancy, currently 13+6 and have booked another private scan for tomorrow for reassurance as I can’t stop panicking. I’ll be thinking of you, let us know how the scan goes x

Hello, that looks barely anything to me so hopefully your scan will confirm that all is well. I’ve had all that and more in my pregnancies that progressed. This time (am 24 weeks) and for my previous baby I had brown discharge the whole way through. This time round I had some reddish bits at about 7 weeks and went in a tailspin of panic but lots of other ladies came on the thread to say they’d had the same, and the reddish bits turned out just to be some isolated bits and didn’t develop into any proper bleeding. Hope all is well - it’s hard not to worry isn’t it. I did actually find it a little bit reassuring to have a bit of “stuff” there as it helped me think that things were actively going on (I’ve also had a missed miscarriage that was entirely symptomless in every way).

FilthyforFirth · 14/04/2020 12:53

Try not to worry though I know it's hard. That doesnt look too worrying to me. Also 7+5 today and also have a scan booked. Best of luck.

I had the exact same colour bleed when I was 6 weeks. I went in for a private scan and was fully expecting it to be a miscarriage. The sonographer found a heartbeat and told me the bleeding was caused by a small subchorionic haematoma, which she said is basically caused by implantation. Implantation causes bruising/bleeding which will pool up and sometimes come out as blood, like what you've seen and I had, or your body will absorb it.
Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for the support everyone. I had my scan today and everything is fine. Measuring fine by my dates and a strong heartbeat. I'm so relieved Smile

@Minkies13 hope it turns out great for you too

Fantastic news. I can imagine it must be such a relief for you. I went for a 10 week scan along with the harmony test yesterday and little bub was bouncing around in there :)
