Don’t feel pregnant

Pippin1981 · 13/04/2020 21:06

Hi I am 11 + 4 pregnant and don’t have symptoms. I havnt had many apart from sore boobs and abit of nausea, but that all seems to have gone for the last 2 weeks.
I had an early scan at 8 weeks for reassurance and all was well.
My 12 week scan is next Monday 20th APRIL, and I’m paranoid about MMC. I’ve been googling things and am so scared I’m going to get there next week and they won’t find heartbeat :(

I feel the same. I haven't had very strong symtoms. Mostly tired. I am 12 weeks on Saturday. I'm a bit worried but it's natural. I'm more relaxed now as there is nothing I can do that will change the outcome of my scan. So I'm learning to enjoy it.

Cheyanne101 · 13/04/2020 21:36

Hey. Im 18 weeks and honestly i had no symptoms until about 13+ weeks! Dont worry everybody is different.. but it was something i worried myself over! Enjoy it :-)

BeMorePacific · 13/04/2020 21:49

A lot of posters who have had a MMC have said they had pregnancy symptoms and only found out at the scan.
I think of you have had no pain and no bleeding you should take those as good signs.
I have had similar panics and was lucky enough to get a scan at 9weeks. Baby was there and fine despite no symptoms.
I hope you’re ok xx

The fact that you had a successful scan at 8 weeks I believe means you've only a 1% chance of miscarriage now. At least that's what I was told when I had a scan at the Nuffield with DS at about 8/9 weeks.

BS9790 · 14/04/2020 11:40

@Pippin1981 I'm 11+3 today and I'm exactly the same, all signs I had have now eased off over the last 2 weeks. I just feel a bit tired, but put that down to sitting around doing nothing in lockdown!
I had a scan at 9+4 and heartbeat etc was all fine and symptoms were mostly gone then. I've got my dating scan this Thursday.

X

My first pregnancy was exactly like that, a total breeze but I worried so much that I didn’t appreciate it. So far this pregnancy seems to be the same (7+6 today). Your scan is such a positive sign. I’m telling myself that unless I have a reason to worry, like bleeding, then I have to believe everything is ok. I think MMC are quite rare, you just hear about more of them on forums etc.

excitednerves · 14/04/2020 11:45

Oh and good luck for 20th, not long to go!

Pippin1981 · 14/04/2020 12:03

Hey everyone, only just seen all of ur replies! Thank you so much for the reassurance. I know my chances of miscarriage are lower as I had the early scan at 8 weeks but I still can’t help but worry. It doesn’t help being stuck indoors with only google as my friend Grin
I Think once I’ve had my scan next Monday it will be a Weight lifted off my shoulders and I will be able to relax abit more.
Will keep u updated Flowers xxxx

Try not to worry regarding symptoms - I had no symptoms throughout my entire pregnancy! No sickness, boobs were fine, I wasnt particularly tired, no indigestion, nothing. It wasnt until I started to have a pronounced bump that I "felt" pregnant. Waiting for the scan is the worst part, hopefully after that you will be reassured :)

Daisysandviolets · 14/04/2020 12:22

Try not to worry, I'm 16 weeks now and I was just like you no symptoms and terrified of MMC and all was fine at the scan! I'm now suffering the same anxiety for the 20 weeks scan!

Pippin1981 · 14/04/2020 13:48

I think pregnancy is a worrying time for us all. Especially with what’s going on at the moment.
Daisyandviolets I’ll probably be the same at my 20 week too 🙈
Spose we just have to think ourselves lucky we don’t have many symptoms xx

I'm the same ladies - barely any significant symptoms, and counting down the days until 12 week scan on 13th May.
Just praying every day that I'm getting closer to seeing a heartbeat!

justkeeprunning5 · 14/04/2020 16:03

Please try not to worry, I have been really scared on and off as my symptoms have been really light and I am 10+4 today (IvF baby!) , have had 2 scans due to a little spotting and was always ok.

I think we are conditioned to think everyone feels absolutely dreadful and the fact is not everyone does. My boobs are huge & sore and I do get more tired (not the shattering tiredness I was expecting but let’s face it, I am doing nothing like the amount I would usually do when commuting) on the days i do try and do more around the house / longer walk I feel really tired. It’s hard to compare pregnancies in the normal world to now I think.

Mumof1andacat · 14/04/2020 16:06

I had no symptoms my whole pregnancy apart from a baby bump which didn't appear until I was nearly 20 weeks. No sore boobs, nausea, sickness, headaches or heartburn. Bump is now 7 yrs old

Let the anxiety get to me and booked a private scan for monday, I'll be 9+2 at that point, partner thinks I'm daft as were not out of the woods until 12 week scan but I'm hoping if everything's ok I'll be a bit of a relief to get me to 12 weeks with a bit of sanity!

Pippin1981 · 15/04/2020 15:47

Rara88Cas the early scan does make u feel better, least u won’t have long til your 12 week scan after.

I felt reassured when I had scan at 8 weeks but it feels so long ago now as I’m almost 12 weeks.

Good luck at ur scan xx

@Pippin1981

Thanks for your advise - when to scan today and saw a little heartbeat and feel on top of the world now!

Due to my PCOS my dates were a bit off and I'm only 8 weeks not 9 weeks as I had originally thought but still over the moon!

Pippin1981 · 20/04/2020 16:04

Hey all,

Had my scan today! All was well! Strong heartbeat! 13 weeks along. Have never felt so relieved.

Thank u for all of your reassurance 💗 xxx

Great news @Pippin1981 . Beautiful baby scan.

It’s always so nice when people come back as it also reassures others who may stumble across this in the days & years to come.
