Pregnancy and resting heart rate

When I found out I was pregnant my fitbit showed my resting heart rate was rising which i expected . Pre pregnancy it was 64 but peaked at 79 at 8 weeks pregnant. Since then it’s been steadily decreasing. I’m now 10+2 and my hr is 74. Has anyone else seen similar? Is this a sign that the baby’s stopped growing or could it just be that my body’s getting used to things? I’m panicking a bit!

It's totally normal. When you first become pregnant your blood volume increases which is why your heart rate goes up. As you approach second trimester your blood vessels dilate so the pressure lowers back again.

I’m 24+4 and mine has gone up and down a bit during the time I’ve been pregnant 😊 I wouldn’t worry, it’s still above your normal heart rate.
Also it’s not a medical device...

As you can see from my example, during January it randomly went down a few BPMs over a few days. Today I’m on 57 BPM with a healthy baby (heart rate And movement recently checked)

Thanks very much @Birdy1991 and @Nimsay1. That’s made me feel a lot better!

Mine did this, I stopped wearing it as it really worried me when I saw it had dropped. Good luck!

I’m currently 13+5 and took my Fitbit - which I wore every day - off about 7 weeks ago and I’ve not put it back on because I was getting obsessed by this and I’m so anxious I didn’t need another thing to stress about!
