I've been trying so hard to stay calm over last few weeks because I know there's plenty of research about stress in first trimester specifically and future brain function (looking at cohorts from Spanish flu pandemic etc)

I'm sure we're relatively under a lot less stress but DH and I have found last few weeks very stressful.

We had a row earlier which is very rare for us and I got extremely upset (like hysterical)

Ever since my stomach has felt extremely hard and tight, it's like Braxton Hicks from late in my first pregnancy.

Rationally I know it's unlikely but has this hurt the baby?

baby will be just fine. Whilst horrid for you a one off nasty argument is not going to do baby any harm at all. Try not to focus on it, it will only make you more stressed and create a viscious circle.

Cut yourself some slack, this is a stressful time for everyone and you're doing what you can to minimise the impact which is all you can do
