High hcg levels ?

Hi
I'm currently 6 +4. They're reluctant to scan me because of corona despite having recurrent miscarriages. I got hcg blood tests done one week apart. My first at 5+2 was 18900 and my second on Saturday at 6+2 was 106,000. I wasn't surprised as I've been very very sick. While I'm pleased that it's going up, All the charts I can see seem to indicate that is too high for where I am. I'm very sure of my dates. Did anyone else have high levels like this?

My hcg levels at 6+5 were 160,000 I was also terribly sick at that point and was in hospital for iv fluids for dehydration. Thought was twins but 12 week scan just one healthy little bubs. I did read that higher hcg can indicate a girl but I think that everyone’s hcg levels are different.

Congrats :)

@apple777 thanks for replying. That's good to know that it turned out ok. The sickness is soo scary. I have one dd and was not like this

Your numbers seem within the limits, if higher than average. You may have ovulated early and the embryo might have been quick to implant, which would put you development-wise a week or more ahead of your actual dates.

I was going off this chart which is why I thought it seemed high

High hcg levels ?

I have a feeling there’s a difference between American and Uk charts? I had high HCG with first dc (currently 10+2 with second but didn’t have them done with this pregnancy) I thibk similar to yours and was fine and just one

covidconundrum · 13/04/2020 14:41

@burntpinky thank you. Sitting here worrying! I've just looked that up and weirdly they are slightly different

Just checked my results from my successful pregnancy (he’s 19 months and won’t go down for a nap this arvo!) and they were 109,900 around same stage as yours so honestly don’t worry x

@burntpinky that's very good of you to check. Hope he goes down for you!

I only saw my HCG levels after my 12 week blood work . They were at the very high end of the range for 12 weeks. I was surprised as I threw up a bit but overall I wasn’t too sick . I actually thought I had a pretty easy first trimester so it was kinda odd 🤷‍♀️

I had really high HCG and horrific sickness. I was taken to hospital at 8 weeks and the OBGYN thought I was having triplets.

Had a scan and it was only one baby. Was sick as a dog until 4 hours after giving birth. I had severe HG.

Theyweretheworstoftimes · 13/04/2020 18:05

I had a girl.

Mine was 24,000 at 5+3 and 46,000 at 5+5. Healthy single pregnancy.
