Pregnant but had period?

Hi,

I am 10 weeks pregnant with my second baby according to my last period. However, I have a feeling I am further along than I think. I have a proper bump, my sickness eased at 8 weeks (on my last baby it went on til 13 weeks), I got a strong positive test over a week early, and I swear I can feel flutterings (which I know at 10 weeks is bordering on insane). I have had a baby before, so know what they feel like. Its little pops in the exact same spot every evening.

So, could I have been pregnant but have had a period at the start? Anyone have this situation before? I will find out for certain in 2 weeks, but curiosity has taken over.

Yes it’s possible. Or it could have been a long implantation bleed. Bear in mind every pregnancy is different though, you’re likely to show sooner on a second pregnancy and symptom patterns are also likely to vary

You never now you could be. I found out a week early too and there’s a part of me that wonders if I’m further along than I think to. There’s a lot of people on here that have talked about having their periods throughout their pregnancy. Not as uncommon as you would think. Update us when you have your scan!

Yes, this happened to me and turned out I was a cycle more pregnant than I thought. I had a 'period' exactly on the day it was due, but it must have been a heavy implantation bleed. When I went for my '12 week' scan I was actually 15 and a half weeks.
