hi all was wondering if anyone had any ideas???

i am 27 weeks pregnant and have put onover 2 stone so far, so obviously not just baby weight and water!! i was told weightwatchers do a good plan for pregnant women, but after looking into it i've found out that they cant weigh or advise you after 12 weeks, or until 6 weeks after birth. so that idea seems pointless!!

does anyone have any ideas?? i no where i am going wrong and the do' s and dont' s, its just i need a real life person or group to keep me on the straight and narrow!

If you know where you're going wrong, then you will just have to be strong to eat healthier i'm afraid! I have been terrible with food in this pg and i haven't stepped on the scales for the last two months because i'm scared of how much i have put on. However, i am not going to diet as such, but i will try and make more of an effort to avoid junk food.

Kerioke, I don't think 2 stone is very much. Try not to worry about it until the baby's born. Just try to eat plenty of fruit and veg and drink lots of water and all the usual advice. Make sure you keep vaguely active. Don't deny yourself any treats. And try not to worry about it. That's what I'm doing anyway I think I've put on well over 2 stone (it's probably more like 3) but I'm not weighing myself and I'm trying not to worry.

My cousin, who is stick thin, gained 4stone with her 2nd pregnancy and she lost it all pretty effortlessly afterwards and is back to having a washboard stomach and wearing size 8 jeans . I'm not saying it's that easy for everyone, I'm just saying there's no point in worrying while you're pregnant. Just enjoy it.

i've put on 3 stone so far and was a stone overweight to begin with. Got a thing about milky ways at the mo I'm hoping to lose it by walking loads with the buggy etc but not gonna worry too much, as long as baby is ok.

I was a size 8-10 and have put on about 2 stone so far in this prgcy 32 + 3. I have a big bump and haven;t put any weight on anywhere else -I don;t look prgt from the back and dh even says it's difficult to tell when I am directly facing him.

I also have a 43 1/2 inch waist atm

Kerioke - dont worry about it too much until after the birth. Perhaps try to cut out the crappy stuff a bit more, but unfortunately a preg woman must have whatever a preg woman wants at the time

lets make a pact Kerioke (since we are on the same ante natal thread) that we will hep each other once we get to post natal with encouragement etc, like our own little weight watchers. Weigh in every Monday morning

lol you guys... mixedmama a pact indeed! count down to mondays!

i know you guys are right, perhaps it isnt at much as it seems, and i now there will be plenty of time to lose it... guess just sometimes you need the reassurance of likewise people ay?? in RL when i stand by my non-preg mates i am envious, but i guess for different reasons some of them are envious of me! and hey i'll be the same (or close enough) one day lol

thanks for the support though!
