Hey everyone!
Just need some advice really. Since I found out I was pregnant I coincidentally have had a very painful lower back. It hurts more when I am lying on my back or when I stand up from sitting. And also when I roll over in bed. It's lower right just above my bum cheek. It's horrid and nearly brings me to tears. I've had it for six months since I found out and I don't know what's wrong. The doctor says it's just "pregnancy back pain" but this started before I even had a bump. Buts it's worsening with bump. What do you think it could be and what should I do?? I'm at a loss I'm in agony 🙁🙁any advice please xxx

I'm my own personal and none professional opinion it sounds like sciatica.
The bigger baby gets the more pressure on your hips and pressing in the nerves.

Go on you tube and google exercise to help with sciatica when pregnant and see if they help you. They won't be harmful to you or baby, it just helps take some pressure off your hips and pelvis and loosen anything that could pinching a nerve.
Hope you feel better soon x

Hi @grace1991 I’m also struggling with lower back pains and have been since I found out, I’m currently 13+4, I’m not sure of the answer but just wanted to say I’m thinking if you x

@lockdownpregnancy @Chwil20 @Prettylittlelady thank you all for your reply !!! I'm not sure it is sciatica though. Sciatica would be shooting down my legs etc and it isn't! It's just horrendous pain in my back and doesn't spread!!
I think I need to go back to the doctor and say how serious I am about it all. I've been twice though and both times he has just said there's nothing that can be done. I'll have a google tonight for some help too. Thank you Biscuit
