Green is not normal. You may have an infection. I would go see you doctor as soon as possible. Hope you're ok

EimB · 11/04/2020 20:48

It's weird I don't feel ill, although I've been going to pee so so much.
Doctors now closed due to the Easter holidays. Think it would be ok for me to leave it to next week or best to try see someone? Thanks for your help :)

Deffo sounds like an injection and deffo best to be seen ASAP to nip it in the bud!

WorstWitchWart · 11/04/2020 20:51

Go to the EPU. This isn't right! Keep calm but have yourself seen to.

SelfIsolationMeansMorePeppa · 11/04/2020 20:52

I wouldn't leave it in case its an infection. Can you ring your midwife or the maternity unit and see what they advise if the doctor is closed?

4thTimer · 11/04/2020 20:53

You should be able to contact your midwife who can advise. I would get it checked out as an infection could be nipped in the bud quickly Smile

Thanks for the info girls.
I'm from N.Ireland and as far as I'm aware there is no midwife or anything around at the weekend, unless someone is from N Ireland knows different. I've only seen the midwife after my 12 week scan, but they never told me who to contact if there were any issues xx

Do you have the number for the maternity unit at the hospital?
I had that in my notes my midwife gave me at my booking appointment but not sure if it's different in N.I

Annny27 · 11/04/2020 20:56

I had this and everything was normal (has swabs that confirmed no infection) - the doctor said it can be normal in pregnancy but Definitely go to the GP or call the midwives because it can indicate infection

lockdownpregnancy · 11/04/2020 21:10

If you can't get in to see the doctor, do you have a walk in clinic you can go to, or a GUM clinic? They should be able to see you straight away, especially because you're pregnant too

GrandTheftWalrus · 11/04/2020 21:12

I had that last time. Was due to my washing powder. I changed it and it went away.

Wudgy · 11/04/2020 22:14

In front of the green folder you will have the number for your hospital maternity unit f Eou)- they are who you ring for advice for any pregnancy related matters , give them a call or at worst out of hours Gp!

EimB · 11/04/2020 23:16

Thanks so much, I havn't got my notes yet think I'm due to get that 16 weeks. But asked a another girl who gave me the number (showed how much my midwife told me at my booking appointment, I didn't even know that there was someone you could phone out of hours) anyway seen a doctor and have a UTI. So antibiotic! Thanks again for all your help.

I’m 8 and a half weeks and have had a sort of snot like greeny yellow discharge on and off the last couple of weeks. No smell, itchiness or pain though. Spoke to the doctor in the week and he said he thought normal discharge due to cervical changes. Is it just the discharge or other symptoms too?

bushhbb · 11/04/2020 23:25

I'm not pregnant anymore but had green discharge too. Had several tests which all came back negative, was told it's normal.

But of course get a test, you can't know just by symptoms alone.

EimB · 11/04/2020 23:37

I was running to the bathroom so often but I just assumed that was part of pregnancy, glad I went today and got it sorted.
They did tell me tho that green discharge isnt always a sign of infection so unless you have any other symptoms I wouldn't worry too much:)

I had no symptoms just the discharge. I was using bio washing powder so think it was upsetting my ph balance. Switched to non bio and it was fine after a few days.

SelfIsolationMeansMorePeppa · 12/04/2020 07:48

Glad you managed to see someone OP Smile
