Hi Ladies,

So I got a faint positive 6 days before my af was due to arrive - I basically tested everyday until the day of AF - tested with a digital and got Pregnant (1-2). Excited. However the reason I tested 6 days before my af was because I had brown spotting and cramping and I thought that was strange - so gather it was implantation bleeding.... I'm now 4 weeks 3 days and brown spotting has come back again - I'm really worried - has anyone gone through this and is now far along ? I'm worried coz I suffered a chemical last month and now I'm constantly anxious X

It’s hard to tell what’s going to happen but brown spotting can be old blood, lots of people have some spotting and go on to have totally normal pregnancies. As it’s so early, you wouldn’t be able to have a scan, keep an eye on it and see if it changes, hopefully it will stop Flowers

And just to add - before my current pregnancy. I did have a chemical, my experience of that was brown bleeding which looked grainy which turn to bright read heavy within a matter of 5-6 hours. X

Thank u for your reply @Prettylittlelady - I've been spotting since yesterday on and off :( - my previous chemical - I was pregnant for 2 days then spotted then the blood cane a couple of hours later ... it's so disheartening- I want to be happy in a time like this but I'm just anxious Sad

@DeeAn it’s really hard and I do understand, I’m currently 13+3 and I’m trying to tell myself it’s a new pregnancy and new new chance but once you’ve had a loss, no matter how early it really affects you. As the bleeding hasn’t turned red try to stay positive if you can, remember it could be an implantation bleed, there are many explanations for bleeding in pregnancy that don’t have to be sinister x

@Prettylittlelady day 3 and I'm still spotting Sad I'm scared to take a test to check the line is still there but maybe it will put my mind to rest just don't know what to think or do - my healthcare provider isn't picking up the phone and I'm guessing during covid they are just too busy... this is seriously just causing my anxiety to rocket something I've never suffered from - but I guess it is what it is Xx

I’m sorry to hear that you’re feeling anxious Flowers I really do underhand what that’s like.
You could do a test - with my chemical it quite quickly turned negative but as I said before I was bleeding red and heavy. I know it’s difficult but as your so early a health provider will probably just tell you to keep an eye and wait. I think, considering the times we are in at the moment, it would be unusual for a scan to be offered before 5.5/6 weeks as it’s difficult to see that much even in a viable pregnancy. Try to wait until at least 5.5 weeks and then give your EPU a call and see what they say.

Thank u so much I’m ok now I just felt horrendous earlier but it’s now my second chemical my first was a quick one too - but this time I had such an early positive and a healthy line progression then bang - I have a feeling my progesterone may be low or something - ah well on to the next cycle I go Xxx 😘
