Hi,

This is my second pregnancy and I've been desperately waiting to feel those first flutters but nothing yet! I'm certain with my first baby I felt things at 16 weeks so I guess I'm just surprised I've not felt anything yet. I'm meant to have a consultant appointment next week where presumably they would have listened to heartbeat but I'm sure this will now be a telephone appointment at most. Guess I'm just looking for someone to tell me the official advice that babys movements should be expected between 18-24 weeks :)

This is my 3rd baby and I didn't feel movements until 22 weeks this time.

It might be anterior placenta, I felt my first for definite at 14 weeks with flutters from about 12 weeks, my husband was even feeling kicks from the outside at 18 weeks! I had a posterior placenta with her, with this one I had an anterior placenta and I felt flutters at 16-17 weeks but nothing absolutely definite until I was 22+ weeks! I was so shocked with the difference the placenta position made!

I was wondering about the placenta @kittykat7210 but wasnt sure how common it is. I'm sure everything is fine and I'm just being impatient but when you are on lockdown, it's sometimes hard to keep your mind occupied and then you end up over thinking! Thanks for your response X
