Prelabour symptoms vs latent phase labour

Hi

This is my first baby, and I'm 40+3 and since 35 weeks I've have had Braxton hicks. For the past week these have become more intense and I've had period like cramps.

3 nights ago the cramps got more intense, waking me up but eventually fading. The next day they were very mild. Then early hours of this morning, I was woken up with harsh period cramps accompanied with ?braxtons. I got up had paracetamol, used my ball, hot water bottle etc. And a couple hours later they calmed enough for me to go back to bed and sleep. Today the cramps are still there, although manageable, with some occasional braxtons. I've sat in the bath to get some rest and chill things out. He's super low so the pressure is ridic but has been for a while now.

Just wondering if people can relate? Is this just prelabour body working out or possible the start of the latent phase.

Thanks Smile

@paloo have you tried timing these cramps/Braxton hicks? I was in latent labour for 5 days before finally going into actual labour. I had contractions/cramps that would get to around every 7 mins and then they would completely stop! They were painful but bearable. I know how frustrating it is but definitely sounds like you are very close!! Keep bouncing on that ball & walking around! Good luck! Xx

@maria94 I did initially but they seem to go more regular then ease or stop. Think I'm in for the long run! X
