HELP - Any midwifes about?? Loss of tissue at 16 weeks :(

Hi all,

I’m 16 weeks pregnant and have just been to the toilet and noticed what I think is a lump of tissue on my knickers. The best way to describe it is looking like a small piece of chicken!! I’ve rang my midwife who said it could be a number of things but as long as I’m not bleeding or experiencing any pain not to worry too much. Easier said than done and I’m now in full panic mode .

Has anyone had anything like this before? Does anyone know what could cause it? Midwife said if I have any more to call back which I will do.

I had a miscarriage last year and this baby took nearly another year to conceive so I’m scared stiff at the thought of losing her/him .

That’s really unusual and I’d want it investigated in hospital, pandemic or not. No blood is a good sign though. Does your hospital have a maternity triage number?

If you're only just 16 weeks your early pregnancy unit might still speak to/see you. I'd give them a ring.

Please could you tell me what happened with this? I just had the exact same thing at 16 weeks and I’m freaking out!
