Elective C Section

Just a quick question, does anyone know what appointment they start talking to you about what kind of birth you will be having? At my 12 week appointment with the consultant, the midwife told me when I met the consultant he would go through the options for birth for me (I am high risk and nearly sure I'll need a c section and that's what I want) but he never mentioned anything. I am now 16 weeks.
Thanks :)

When do you next see the consultant? I'd ask if it's not brought up. It was discussed thoroughly with me at my 16w consultant appt and I was told I needed to make the decision at my next appt which was 36w. At that appt, my c section was booked in.

36 weeks in my trust

Hoping to get my date when I go in in 2 weeks time

Perfect thank you :) because of all that is going on I wont see the consultant again to 25 weeks. I have a phone appointment with a midwife next week so I will maybe say to her that the consultant didn't mention it to me. All he said to me was at 30 weeks we will decide what anesthesia we will use, but tbh because I was there on my own I didn't think of asking him what he meant by it. Thanks again

@EimB what he meant was he talk what anaesthesia which the needle in your lower back or he could put you to sleep to give you the c section he will talk to you when you are 30 weeks.. mine isn’t booked yet but I know what happens as this is my 3rd c section. I’m due July.

@bexx19 thanks so much. I was so confused, I had no idea what he meant but I forgot to ask, there was so much going on. Hope all goes well with yours and thanks again for the info.
