Movement 30 weeks

Baby has been a really good mover up until the last week or so, I could feel good kicks etc regularly through the day. I do have an anterior placenta

I went in at the weekend to be monitored and within 40mins baby had met criteria and I was sent on my way. But the baby’s movements feel different. They’re not as strong and nowhere near as frequent. Baby is moving ok this evening but has been quiet all day.

My community midwife isn’t working at the moment so I’m not really sure what to do. Do I go back if it’s quiet again tomorrow and ask for them to check over again?

I know I’m overly anxious as DD was born early due to iugr which was picked up from reduced movements. But something just doesn’t feel quite right

Trust your instincts - ring your maternity unit /department and get seen today. Explain you have had issues before. I don’t think you are being overly anxious.

Ring them every day and go in every day if you are feeling reduced movements. You aren’t wasting anyone’s time. Take care xxx

When I went in at 24 weeks they specifically told me not to feel silly that he started moving as soon as he was prodded with the Doppler. Told me even if later that night I still didn’t feel right to come back for another check. If you don’t feel completely reassured or something still feels off, go back.

Just checking all is well Schafer. Hope you are getting lots of kicks now.
