Midwife misread notes?

Had my 20 week scan on Wednesday.
During the scan the sonogropher told me that I have an anterior placenta but it's away from my cervix.

Was debriefed by the midwife who informed me that my placenta is covering my cervix, booked me in for a 32 week scan and advised me not to have sex and to go immediately to hospital in case of bleeding.

However, looking at my notes it states that placenta is anterior and not extending to cover OS.

Has the midwife just misread my notes or am I misunderstanding?

I've text my community midwife and tried to call the ante natal unit but haven't been able to get through. I feel like I might be taking a scan that I don't need.

Shameless bump.
Still can't get an answer from ante natal.

Could it be that it was close to your cervix? I had an extra scan because placenta was close to cervix and they were just checking to be sure.

Have the scan

I’d have the scan anyway. I bled heavily at 19 weeks and thought I was miscarrying, it turned out to be my placenta. I wasn’t advised to not have sex but was booked in for a scan at 28 weeks and 32 weeks, by which time it had moved. :)

Take the scan anyway but I would also refrain from sex until you manage to get through to a professional to double check, just incase.
