Two boys...other people's reaction

Am currently pregnant with DS2, DS1 is just over 2. I am getting so sick of people's reaction when I tell them no2 is also a boy...lots of people implying I should be somehow disappointed, or that 2 boys will be a huge handful, I'll be properly outnumbered etc. Some are joking, others not.

Has anyone else had this? Is it specifically a 2 boys thing, or do people with two girls get the same? I feel like I'm being made to feel DS2 is somehow a consolation prize. I've loved having DS1, he is utterly amazing, why would DS2 be any different?! Surely a healthy baby is what matters?

I've 3 boys ( men now ) and they are wonderful. If I could go back and do it all over again for the enjoyment I would. I've had 26 years of loveliness with them
What a lovely post @MaidenMotherCrone
I think I will save that one Smile

I remember a friend having twin boys & another person at a gathering asking her if she was sad to not have a girl. Friend replied is you dh sad he hasn't got a son, the other person stormed off & said it was rude! 🤷‍♀️

I have two boys and sometimes get the ‘you’ve got your hands full’ comment and now I’m pregnant ‘are you hoping for a girl?’

I think most the time people are just looking for something to say though so try not to let it worry me. I wouldn’t exchange my boys for all the world and will be very happy if this third is a boy

I’m pregnant with my third and have 2 boys already.

I had those comments when I was pregnant with DS2. Asking if I was going to try for a girl. So rude, as if he was a buy one her kne free child!

My boys are 22 months apart (3 and 1) and they have such a kind already. They also fight like cat and dog but they are amazing. You have so much to look forward to.

Baby number 3 we are expecting in the summer and we did not try for a girl. I would have been happy either way but I’ve alrwady had a few “you’re getting your girl comments....”

Really winds me up, all 3 of my children are loved and wanted equally.

Getting the "gender scan" next month for my second. Not really had any jibes. a few people have said I think it will be a girl because of symptoms etc. But no real "do u want a girl/ one of each" - all the kids/cousins are boys so it would be the first girl if that's how it is. Think we have all got used to being surrounded by lads lol.
