How do I get Matb1 to my employer if Were not working?

Hey guys.

So I’m 23+3 and I’ve been given my Matb1 from my midwife. But how do I get it to my employer?
No one is at work and everyone is at home (not even working from home)
With the lockdown being extended, I definitely won’t be back there before the 25 week cut off.
If it ends Up that I’m near 30 weeks until I go back and can give it to them, will I not get my entitlement? Xx

25 weeks isn’t the cut off, no matter what your employer might tell you. It’s four weeks before you commence maternity leave.

Can you send a photo of it to your HR? I have done that as I have no printer/scanner at home and they accepted it!

There must be one person still notionally working to manage payroll etc?
Send them a photo of it using your phone.

essexanon · 09/04/2020 19:35

Thanks everyone. Will send them a photo and will see if they accept it xx

Post it, if you have stamps, an envelope and a post box within walking distance. Photograph it on your phone first so you have a copy.

@Greendin our office is behind gates which are currently locked and so all post is meant to be taken in by a business in the next unit.
I don’t know if I want to chance it as it’s not going directly to my head office. Suppose the people taking out post mis-lay it or aren’t there themselves when we re-open. X

I think your plan is right.

Email them an image of it, and say that you'll hand in the original when pandemic restrictions permit.

There’s an app called tiny scanner for your phone that you basically take a picture & it scans it instead of it being a photo if you get me?

essexanon · 09/04/2020 20:32

Thanks all!

@lolxx thank u. my iPhone has a scan function that basically does the same Thing as the app. It scans the photo and turns it into a document. Xx

I’ve just had to do this today, I emailed my form to HR and they have said its fine and to just keep a hold of the form to hand in the original when we’re back to work.

That is assuming we’re back before my leave starts! if not I’m unsure what to do, but my work have accepted the emailed pic for now :)

I sent my payroll department just a photo of mine from my phone by email and it was accepted yesterday Smile
