myself and my partner are awaiting the removal of my coil so we can try to conceive. in the mean time I am wondering if I need to come of my 30mg of CItalipram. I have been on them for the last 6 years for anxiety. I came of them 5 years ago to have a baby but then within two weeks of her being born the panic attack came back so I went straight back on them. I am really worried about coming off them again!
Has anyone else been on them whilst pregnant?

I'm on 10mg but I stayed on them during pregnancy and birth of DS 3 years ago and I will stay on them during this pregnancy.

Hi, I'm on 30mg too and was advised by my gp to stay on them as benefit outweighs small risk. I'm 15 weeks pregnant now and all is fine xx Good luck xx

I'm currently 15+6 and take 20mg citalopram. I was on 40mg but have reduced since finding out I was pregnant. I saw an obstetrician to ask about how the medication affects the baby and he confirmed that my anxiety could be worse in pregnancy and that the benefits outweigh any low risks. Hope that helps! 😊

Thank you, I will try to reduce to 20mg over the next few weeks and see how I go.
