MAT allowance

I applied for MAT allowance as soon as I was 25 weeks back in January. I had a letter 2 weeks later to say i get full MAT allowance pay and to send off the application once i had finished work.

I finished work 12th March (early due to covid 19) and so sent off my reply slip and asked for my MAT allowance to start from 1st April.

When will i receive my first payment ish? Im assuming it will be every 4 weeks like child benefit. I got maternity pay for my 1st child from my employer so this is new to me.

Thank you

No mine wasn’t, I’d asked for it 4 weekly but the first payment was for 8 days until the end of March so think I’ll get it monthly from now on xx

On the first form you filled you could choose between every 2 or 4 weeks. I receive mine every 2 weeks as that's what I choose.
