Changing community midwife or trusts?

Having a disagreement with my community midwife. I am ordinarily a patient and efficient person, but I find her impossible.

Has anyone ever switched midwives, or more extreme, switched trusts to a different hospital?!

We moved 250 miles when I was pregnant, so I changed hospitals. Wasn't a problem at all.

Even if you give birth in a different trust you are likely to get a community midwife from the trust where you live.
I opted from the start to give birth in the larger regional centre in the trust my DH works at because a) I have a medical condition that they were better set up to support and b) it made appointments easier for DH to attend with me
I saw consultant & MWs at hospital regularly throughout pregnancy
However my community MW was still from my home trust and often ended up doubling up sessions somewhat with the hospital as the system isn't actually that clever.
I didn't mind because I liked both teams but i'm not sure it would solve your problem.

You have every right to ask for a different midwife...I'm considering doing the same but I'm anxious as I live on a small island 😢

I also would like to ask for a new community midwife! I rang her to say I had coronavirus and she told me to eat kale and tumeric! I was fuming to say the least as she spouted off so much shit.
I've heard it's a straightforward process to change but I don't want to put in a complaint as such.

What has your community midwife done? It depends on whether it’s policy related or a personal issue really?
