I'm having a sweep this morning at 37 weeks in the hope it'll help avoid induction next week due to a health condition.

Previous baby was born at exactly 37 weeks after spontaneous labour but this one seems too comfortable at the moment.

Has anyone had a sweep this early that's actually worked?
I've been doing everything I can to help make cervix favourable (bouncing on ball, DTD, walking etc).

Everyone I know IRL has had their sweeps because they've been overdue!

Really depends on how ready your body is. My friend had one at 37+5 as she was due to be induced the following week and had him 2 days later cervix was favourable. I had one at 37+5 last week as I have SPD and so uncomfortable and it has done nothing but baby was still high even though I was 1cm dilated

I had one on Monday at 38+1 and sadly it doesn't seem to have done anything. It wasn't as bad as I expected. A little painful when she did it, but quickly over and not uncomfortable afterwards and no bleeding. Hopefully you have better luck in terms if results!
