Growth scan

Hi I am really worried, I am 29 weeks pregnant and up till week 27 everything was on track on fine. Then my midwife measured my bump to be on the smaller side so she booked me to have a growth scan. I had the growth scan today and they said that her abdominal circumference is on the 8th percentile, whilst her head and legs are on the 50th. They are monitoring me every 3 weeks from now to she how she grows. However the doctor said that the most likely cause for a small baby is the placenta not providing properly which sounds scary. I am 5ft7 and my bf is 6ft so we aren’t small people. Is there something wrong with my baby?

I can't advise exactly however I have a little boy who's 9ty centile height wise, 25th weight wise and 85th head wise. No issues were picked up during the pregnancy (he was breech undiagnosed and apparently those bumps.measure bigger so that might explain it) however he's had no issues. Brainy little one year old now. Definitely takes after his mum Grin hope everything continues well for you x

My lo measured small from around 20 weeks on. I had growth scans every two weeks and percentiles never seemed to be going how they wanted. I was eventually induced at 39 weeks and she was small 6lbs 9oz but completely healthy and has thrived since! Try not to worry the growth scans will keep a close eye on things. Don’t be afraid to ask questions at your next one about any concerns you have they should be able to reassure you. Hope all goes well
