How many reduced movements do I need until they take him out?

I’m 38 weeks and have gestational diabetes, strep b, MRSA and pregnancy induced hypertension. Diabetes is managed but BP is up and down and constantly have protein in my urine. Csection booked for next Tuesday, as I also have inflammatory bowel disease and no large intestine so having the section to preserve the use of my pelvic floor which is already pretty ruined.

I’ve had reduced movements constantly throughout my pregnancy but since about 5 days ago it’s been pretty much every day. Sometimes I’ll get a little movement but it’s nothing like normal. It’s an endless cycle of going to the labour ward, being monitored, the monitor being okay there so they send me home. But his movements just aren’t the same and I’m worried about waiting another week for him to be there when it hasn’t been normal for nearly a week now.

Is there any way having these reduced/changed movements I could get an earlier date or is it a case of waiting?

I'm 33 weeks and I've had a few episodes of reduced movements. It's a constant worry! My midwife was reassuring me yesterday and said the hospital wouldn't do anything about it until 37w (assuming monitoring was normal) so I think you could ask them to bring your section forward. Can you call your consultant?

Sympathies OP as I had identical experience with one of my pregnancies and it was truly awful. By 38 weeks I was in having daily monitoring and had been back and forth multiple times for scans etc. I was induced at 38+5 for reduced movements. In a subsequent pregnancy I had similar and was induced at term having had 3 X episodes of reduced movements. I was told that 3 episodes was the ‘magic number’ for induction, regardless of baby being fine on ctg. With your risk factors I wld want a very good reason for them not moving your c section forward.
