3rd pregnancy and never noticed it with the other two. For the past week or so I have noticed baby will get hiccups, or at least what feels like hiccups, 2 or 3 times a day. I know this can be normal but how many times is too many?!

I'm 32 weeks and mine gets them probably 3-4 times a day, I never knew there was a 'too many' so I'm following to see what answers you get!

I read something yesterday about hiccups and fetal distress. Without meaning to alarm you! It's probably nothing to worry about but there is no harm in mentioning it to your mw.

It's normal. DD hiccuped all the time and continued once born. DD never hiccuped.

Thank you all! Glad to hear it can be normal. I'll mention to mw this week though

my 1st hiccuped non-stop, midwife warned me he might be colic baby but was fine

BumbleNova · 07/04/2020 18:13

Completely normal. My DS did a LOT of hiccuping. His record was 20 times in 24 hours. He is absolutely fine.

DD hiccuped all the time in the womb!

My dd hiccuped all the time in the womb and then continued once born. Completely normal. I miss being able to feel it inside me.

StarDanced · 07/04/2020 18:23

My ds hiccuped all the time, multiple times a day in the womb. He is completely fine and still hiccups a lot now 3 years on.

Feeling much more reassured now :) thank you!
