When I went to doctor for scanning at 6th week 3 day the sac was empty..she said might be ovulation calcution be wrong we ll test after 10 days. She said sac looks like 5 weeks 0.7cm. Hi, it doesn't necessarily mean bad news. it's actually not that uncommon for dates to be out in early pregnancy. I went for an early scan at what should have been 7+5 (from LMP) but baby only measured 6+1.
I went back 2 weeks later and baby had grown proportionately then, by the 12 week scan, it had caught up by a week so is now somewhere between the 2 dates.
I'm now 21+5

Good luck.

I have had it go every which way - a sac that stayed empty and resulted in miscarriage, one that was empty, then a week later a flickering heartbeat, although a miscarriage 5 weeks later (both due to a clotting issue not to do with the sac size etc). My most recent was empty At 6 weeks and 2 days and estimated at being under 5 weeks, after being convinced history would repeat, instead I’m almost 15 weeks and had my due date brought ahead. Everything is so small that early, and even if you are sure when you ovulated you don’t know when sperm met egg. Please try not to worry, although I know how hard it is not to. Another scan in 10 days will be more reliable xx
