I know nothing can be done and there's probably no real risk. But I'm still worried...! Doesn't help that I'm taking steroids after an IVF pregnancy but I'm laying here on the sofa with a fever feeling proper shit and can't help worrying.
Sorry, no real point to this post, just worried

Am so sorry op, you must take two paracetamol every six hours. Do not miss a dose it’s important to try and lower your temperature if you can.
Remember there are no proven risks to pregnant women it’s a precaution that pregnant women are in the act risk category and then it’s the third trimester.
What dose prednisone are you on , you should get advise ASAP about whether to carry on or reduce dose.

Hi OP,
Sorry to hear you are feeling rubbish. I am 17 weeks pregnant and also sure I have CV. Feeling pretty crap and now mentally miserable! That said I am now a few days down the line and this is a reasonably quick illness so I'm hoping to feel better soon.

I would ask for advice about your steroid dose, but continue with paracetamol, fluids and keeping your temperature normal If you can. Keep us updated and wishing you all the best!

Oh you poor thing! Any documented risks of fever in the first trimester are massively reduced by regular paracetamol use and ongoing folic acid. Covid-19 has no compelling evidence that it can be vertically transmitted. Am sure everything will be okay. Rest up and get well soon

Thanks everyone, it's just a shit time to be sick with anything isn't it. Really good advice to keep up with the regular paracetamol

@TinnedPearsForPudding I'd call the midwife they will give good advice. Mine is IVF too, I hope everything's fine and if it's cv you'll get immunity but it may be something else less worrying too.
