Hi ladies!
I'm 15 weeks, first time mum to be and wondering when do you start to feel the baby kick?
I get a lot of bubbles which apparently is the baby moving 🤷‍♀️ but the first actual kick?
On my first scan (I was 13 weeks) baby was moving around like crazy! Legs and arms kicking everywhere but obviously couldn't feel anything at that point.
Just curious, but I do appreciate everyone is different. Thank you 🥰

Them bubbles will be baby moving ☺️ I didn't feel dd from putting hand on my stomach and her kicking till 20 weeks but I'd felt her from 15/16 .

Also 20 weeks (both pregnancies) for the proper kick

snch · 06/04/2020 19:51

I'm 20 weeks tomorrow and not felt anything yet

lockdownpregnancy · 06/04/2020 20:40

Thank you ladies! I'm excited to feel the first kick! Only another 5 weeks to go from the sound of it! 😂
I had my dinner about an hour a go and I can feel loads of little bubbles now! Clearly baby is happy I've fed him/her! 😁

I thought I could feel flutters from about 17 weeks but since 20+5 they’ve been proper kicks. They really ramped up after my scan (21+1) I think because I realised I wasn’t imagining it! Now 21+5 and baby is kicking away, really lovely sensation, DH only just able to feel now Smile

17 weeks for the tickling popping kinda feeling and I think from the outside around 22-25 weeks, I can't remember specifically sorry xx

Oldestchild90s · 06/04/2020 20:57

I'm pregnant with my first (21w2d) and i literally started feeling her kick/move last week! Seems to be a common occurrence now as soon as i lay down to go to sleep she goes crazy and moves like mad!

An amazing thing to feel in this absolutely crap time!

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 06/04/2020 20:59

18 wk flutters

Secondsop · 06/04/2020 22:41

Location of placenta can make a big difference - for my first 2 with posterior placentas I felt lots of clear movement by 18 weeks, but this time (anterior placenta) only very occasional movements before 22 weeks

KellyHall · 06/04/2020 22:46

I lay on my back and sat a teddy on my tummy to accentuate the movements as soon as I felt the "flutters"!

LH1987 · 06/04/2020 22:53

21w 5d Smile

I had an anterior placenta in both pregnancies but in my first I barely felt anything. At 30 weeks I’d be having a reduced movement scan and could see the baby kicking into the placenta but feeling absolutely nothing. It was so stressful. So it can really depend on placenta position.

sel2223 · 06/04/2020 23:21

I'm 21+4, FTM and haven't felt a thing yet (anterior placenta). It's so frustrating!

At my 20 week scan she was spinning around and kicking but I couldn't feel anything!

LouH1981 · 07/04/2020 00:18

Hi, congratulations!
I was 21 weeks with my first when I felt a very obvious thump and then 18 weeks with my second because I knew what it felt like.
Don’t forget it can depend on where your placenta is because if it’s at the front you may not feel the kicks immediately.
Trust me though, when you do, it’s the best feeling in the world!

Colouringinbook · 07/04/2020 08:17

Flutters from 18 weeks and then kicks by about 22 weeks.

You can't wait for them to start and then by the end you're just like "get your foot off my ribs"

Lemondropsandgumdrops · 07/04/2020 08:24

I was about 18 weeks when I was getting the regular ‘bubbles’ feeling and by 20 I was feeling kicks.

champagneandfromage50 · 07/04/2020 08:27

With my first pregnancy I felt a flutter at 17 weeks and kicking was after 20 weeks . I still remember when I felt him move

MichelleOR84 · 07/04/2020 09:01

I felt my first bubble/flutter at 17+5 days . It took a few more days to feel it again . I felt the first kick at 20 weeks.

Ginblooded · 07/04/2020 09:09

I'm 21weeks tomorrow and have felt baby move for about 2 weeks now. The little kicks are getting stronger each day 🥰 so wonderful to feel them (for now!)

lockdownpregnancy · 07/04/2020 09:36

Awwww it all sounds so fab when you get your first kick.
My mom said I booted the crap out of her most of the way through! 😝
I've already been told baby is big for how far along I am, so I have a funny feeling I'm going to be beaten from the inside out! 😂
