i'm 22 weeks pregnant and i really don't feel like i'm getting good care from my midwife unit. they seem to just not care. i live on the essex/suffolk boarder. i am closer to the essex hospital but technically i'm in the catchment for suffolk. i self referred to the essex hospital but now would like to switch to the suffolk as i feel because i'm an out of catchment patient in the essex one they seem to not care. is this possible? can i change now?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Can I ask why you feel like you aren't getting good care? 22 weeks here too and just interested x

Just i haven't actually ever met my actual midwife, whenever i ring no one ever picks up. I've had a few issues which whenever i ring the consultant hotline they just seem to tell me to ride it out. I've only had 1 midwife appointment. They just don't seem to care much

It's been very similar for me (I'm in Birmingham), although I haven't had any issues luckily to need to call a midwife. I think for the first few weeks they tend, unless there is a problem with baby, to just let us get on with it which I appreciate. And well now I think they are so understaffed that it's very hard to get hold of anyone understandably. Are your scans all up to date?

Yes all scans are up to date. i feel bad saying it as i think our NHS is amazing but i now just think i would feel more comfortable at the different hospital as a lot of my friends have had their babies there and have had amazing care throughout

Hopefully you can swap, and I'm sure it's not that anyone doesn't care, I think there is just hugely limited resources available unfortunately, especially now.
