Hi everyone,

This Friday just gone I finally got my strong BFP & I’ve calculated the pregnancy to be 4 weeks 6 days from my last period. Since finding out I’ve been all over the place emotionally excited/nervous/petrified u name it lol. I’ve tried not to let myself get too happy as I’ve experienced 2 mcs before. This will (hopefully Flowers) be my first successful pregnancy

I work in a nursing home, and yesterday whilst at work I sat down on a chair stood up and seen a small red patch of blood... my heart dropped so I went to the bathroom, wiped myself to see if anything there but there wasn’t so that was the only show of red blood (when I was on the chair). After that it turned into a pink cream like consistency then eventually it turned into a brown discharge. At no point was it enough to fill a pad or even a pantyliner whatsoever, just a small line and when I wipe myself.

I tried to ring my doctors this morning to get booked in for a midwife appointment but due to the Coronavirus outbreak my GP is closed Hmm

Does this sound like spotting or something I should be worried about?

Thank you ladies and sorry for the long post xxx

Sounds like spotting . You’ve had mc so you know the bleeding becomes heavier not lighter. Keep an eye on it but sounds like spotting to me.

Hi @Loopylooo202 this sounds very similar to my experience currently. Also got a BFP on Friday and started spotting lunchtime yesterday and it’s continued today but very light not even reaching a pad. I have managed to speak to my GP and the EPU and the advice I’ve been given is to retest in a week. They said it could be implantation or it could be an early miscarriage but they can’t scan this early on so trying my best to stay positive and not go crazy over the next week. Hope all goes well for you.

Me too 🙋‍♀️ had bright red blood when I wiped on Saturday at 5+3 but with cramping. Brown blood on wiping yesterday and nothing else so far. I am absolutely terrified, beside myself that the EPU and my IVF clinic won't let me come in for bloods or a scan. The advice I've also been given is also to just wait and see.

Lots of wonderful people gave me reassurance that this does happen in normal pregnancies as well as miscarriage. I really hope we all get the news we desperately want 🤞

I have read that it’s pretty common in early pregnancy but I’m also terrified. Just hope it settles down and the next week or so passes quickly for us all 💕

Thanks for replying everyone!
I'm praying this isn't an early mc and just some spotting hopefully we all have healthy pregnancies ThanksStar will keep you all updated! xxxx

If it's any help at all, im 7+4 and I had similar last week and was terrified and rang gp and epu who didnt do anything other than to say do another pregnancy test in 10 days.

I wasnt particularly happy with this so decided to book a private early scan myself since the nhs are too up the wall at the moment. Had scan yesterday and strong heartbeat and all is well. The nurses there said a bit of bleeding happens in more pregnancies than not

Kinder19 · 06/04/2020 15:42

@Lyris thank you for sharing your experience. Private scan might be the way to go.

Lyris · 06/04/2020 15:59

@Kinder19 I'm quite high risk of mc because of various health concerns and I didnt think I would get preg in the first place. It stressed me out too much to sit and wait so took it in to my own hands. I know many people wont be in as fortunate position but if you have the means and the not knowing is getting to you, it may be worth it. It's certainly chilled me out and helped me realise that this is actually real 😂

Kinder19 · 06/04/2020 16:23

I’m glad you got the reassurance you needed 💕 Now you can relax and enjoy 😊 x

Hey! Try not to worry too much! I had the same and had spotting for nearly 2 weeks but had a private scan and all is good now 9 weeks.
My advice given was not to worry as long as there wasnt loads of pain or heavy bleeding.
I know it's hard especially with times like they are now but try and stay positive x

Loopylooo202 · 06/04/2020 22:55

Fabmaz thank you Smile I've only had mild cramping nothing excruciating and I only bled actual red blood once and it was quite small. From then on it's been pink and mainly brown. Just second nature to me to think the worst I suppose. Thank you for the kind words I'm glad everything's okay for you! Xxx
