Am 38 weeks tomorrow and have noticed from early hrs to now that baby doesn't seem as active he is still moving but they dont feel as strong and not in his normal pattern am due at midwife in 30mins should I me tion or is this normal this close to due date ? Or maybe he changed position and that's why I cant feel his big kicks as normal?

If it's just a community midwife appointment they can listen in with the Doppler but that gives no real indication baby is actually okay. You need to ring your local maternity unit and go there for a monitoring.

Good luck op x

Thanks everyone I spoke to midwife who has said as long as am getting movements it's fine I did lie on left side just before leaving and had ice cold water which did make him move more and alot bigger movements as well, the midwife also listened to heartbeat and said he was happy baby and all was ok so am gonna keep eye on it still for next few hrs just in case xx

Hmmm. I'm a midwife and I always tell women that even if baby's moving, if it's less than normal then it's worth getting checked out. Definitely go in this evening if baby still isn't moving as frequently/strongly as usual.
