Look up SPD

Following, I'm also having this problem
It's worse first thing after sleeping

Thanks ladies. I looked at spd but it seemed to suggest thats more a bone thing and this is inside. Tried my midwife but she doesn't seem to like answering calls!

I had what was essentially 'vulval varicose veins' when pregnant (gone soon after birth thankfully!) i felt fine when sitting or when walking with purpose but could not bear to stand or walk slowly (supermarket shopping and cooking became impossible) as I had a continuous, swollen, ache down below. Mine was diagnosed by gp rather than midwife but not sure that's an option right now? Hope you can find some answers and some respite!

Hi, I'm 23 weeks and from about 14 weeks onward have felt like I've been horse riding or something as everything has been sore down there.

In the last couple of weeks I've had really bad joint pain in my pelvis to the point where I can't put socks or knickers on standing up. Hadn't spoken to a midwife or dr but sounded exactly like PGP. I had been jogging every couple of days so have now stopped that and the pain is really easing off so perhaps I was pushing myself too much.

Thanks for the replies. If I don't get anywhere with MW I'll try my gp. It does feel like a kind of swollen ache so maybe it is the varicose veins. Was there any treatment or just something to put up with?

Sorry it sounds much worse written down than it actually is! No treatment, just taking it easy as much as possible, feet up but also exercise when able to as it keeps all the blood circulating. I feel for you though, it was my worst pregnancy symptom of all, especially as so difficult to describe and explain!
