Am I pregnant or is it a chemical?

I had a missed miscarriage in February, I was 9 weeks but baby stoped growing at 7. I went for a scan at my EPU on Wednesday 19th feb where the pregnancy was still in my womb and had to go back on the 25th of feb to see if I would need any treatment. I passed the pregnancy myself on Thursday 20th feb and the second scan on the 25th confirmed this and there was no tissue left. I had my 1st period on the 22nd of March and have started spotting a little today.
I don’t know what I did it but I have taken a pregnancy test and it’s positive. How can this be when it’s only been 2 weeks since my period?
I was defo my period as it lasted almost a week and was quite heavy?

I have no idea really but the body works in mysterious ways after a mc/mmc. Good luck

I’m so sorry about your miscarriage If it’s only been 2 weeks since your period than I think it’s unlikely that you’re pregnant, sorry. I’m not sure if this is possible but you might still have hCG hormones in your system from your last pregnancy. Maybe you could call or email your dr?

@Melbs6 that’s exactly what I thought but I’ve done 3 different test with 3 different urine samples. I had a negative test 2 weeks after my mmc and a scan to check there was no tissue left. I’m honestly not sure what’s going on. I will be give my gp a call tomorrow

@Sallyjo27 if you’ve had a negative since then I guess you could be pregnant again! Did you manage to speak to your dr?

@melbs6 I did yesterday but today there’s a very faint line. I rang my EPU and they’ve basically said to wait a week and retest and see how it goes from there. They’re not doing scans unless emergency at the moment.

Could today's spotting be an implantation bleed?

@strawberry2017 it could be as it’s very light bleeding, having a period 2 weeks ago as-well it’s just very odd. I’m waiting for a call back from my GP tomorrow x

Just an update. After two blood tests my HCG level was seven the first time and less than one a week later so it was put as a chemical pregnancy.
